Vroom vroom!
Jul. 28th, 2007 12:23 pmWe sleep with the window open in warm weather. This morning after a fitful night of sleep due to cramping hands (hate hate hate shuffling papers!) I awoke to what sounded like bees with variations of revving engines.
Gran Prix is in town. They started racing downtown last night. More lesser races will fill today and tomorrow will be the big race at 3PM. We're 2.5 miles from the closest end of the course.
The loop through downtown includes all my recruiters and a bunch of other businesses and homes. All have been evacuated for the duration. The people who had to abandon their homes are being put up in hotels by the racing group.
Eric had to take his CPAP machine off to hear the cars. In the front of the house we can't hear them at all.
