My hubby's ex wants to visit.
Aug. 8th, 2003 06:58 pmThose of you who've read my journal for over a year probably read this post about why I want to have nothing at all to do with my hubby's ex-wife.
She called him at work yesterday, said she's continuing to do well, staying on her meds, got married again (#6? #7?) in May and changed jobs. Since both she and her new victim... er.. husband are from our area, they want to visit us when they come down to visit their respective families sometime in the next six months.
When he told me, I didn't know what to say. After a fairly long silence, I told him I'd have to digest that idea.
She has made an enormous effort to turn her life around. I however, do not want to be her friend. I don't believe a leopard can change her spots enough to make her friend material.
On the other hand, she has accomplished a stable life for the first time ever. I feel guilty for not wanting to encourage that.
So what do you all think?
