Sneezing. Ever since [livejournal.com profile] chaquir posted about sneezing with "Haaaatsjoe" it has made me wonder how people everywhere represent the sound of sneezing. I've always written it as I do it, Aaa Aaa AAAACHOOO! In the funny papers I've seen it printed that way and KERCHOO.

I woke up this morning thinking I should have responded Gesundheit to her post. I grew up saying either "Bless you!" or "Gesundheit!" just because it's more fun to say and as a little kid, I liked long words. My friend Karen found out in high school that the reason we say "Bless you!" is supposedly witchcraft from the dark ages when people thought your soul was trying to fly out of your mouth. The blessing was supposed to prevent that. She was a strict Southern Baptist at the time, and so she refused to say it after that. She doesn't remember that. She also doesn't remember finding out Elton John was gay and being disgusted. She's not the same person today that she was then, thank goodness!

lol. Me and the boyfriend try to sneeze differently everytime. The other day his sneeze sounded like, "AAAAH HAAAAA!" It sounded like a really loud, obnoxious laugh. lol. We were cracking up. We thought it would be funny if he sneezed like that while dealing with a custumer (he's a computer guy and he also works part time as a pizza delivery driver). For example, say a person hands him a $20 bill, and the total for the order was $14.50. Then the person asks for five dollars back and he sneezes "AAAAH HAAAA!" as if to say the tip sucks. lol.

LOL

I hate to admit it, but we do that with burps and farts... just with each other, of course.

I remember in 7th grade being on the pro-life side of an abortion talk. That couldn't possibly be the same person, because I'm so pro-choice now! It's funny how people can change so much/so little.

We change as we learn. I was anti-abortion at that age, too! Now I'm pro-choice to the point that I helped defend Planned Parenthood one Saturday, long ago. That was the day I met [livejournal.com profile] yeoww's mom because they were both there, too!
