Eric pretended he had a craving for a sausage croissant on Monday so he could slip out and buy me a dozen red roses. I'd already told him he didn't need to, but when he didn't come back as quickly as usual I knew what he was up to. *swoon* I love him so much!
I posted a detailed account of our wedding a few years ago in this post. It was such a magical day. Everything that went wrong made it better. :)
We got married in a redwood cathedral. I always feel so connected to my higher power in the redwoods. The age of the mother tree of a redwood circle as large as this one meant it was alive and mature when Jesus walked the earth. In a redwood grove, I can feel the history the trees lived through and it fills me with awe more than any man-made building ever could. Happily, Eric agreed and we had a formal, traditional wedding in the wilds of a nature preserve. We had our reception in the attached picnic area. The grove is visible in the reception shot below.

The first pic of you and your hair is funny. LOL**
It always hits me how different weddings are in your country. Seeing the bridesmades, the going-away-clothing. We don't know those stuff as you know them.
Bridesmades are a few kids here. Little kids (mostly 2) that walk in front of the couple that is getting married.
Going-away-clothing.. freshly married people never ride off right away from their wedding over here. They stay on the party until the last person and IF they go on a trip it's shortly after the marriage but never right away.
