Squeakers is a happy girl
Oct. 18th, 2007 07:19 amShe loves having our computer room to herself. Eric went in to see her before bed and left the door ajar because Loki was lurking outside and he wanted to see if Loki would charm her like he did our girls when we brought him home.
Squeakers apparently picked up cat language from Syerri very quickly because she let out with a roaring growl and hissed. Loki was shocked and ran away. Cactus was hanging out behind him and ran away too.
When I went in to say goodnight to her, she was settled on my computer room chair looking as pleased as a cat can look. We snuggled a bit. I found a light-weight ball big enough not to go under the door and we batted that around a little. It got near the door and she stopped, peeked under the door and let loose with a mighty hiss, then she hopped back up into "her" chair and settled down. When I was ready to go to bed, Loki and Cactus were right outside the door again. Loki cautiously came in looking at her, sniffing her litter box and looked up at her again. She was busy washing herself with her back to the door. Cactus poked her head in to see Squeakers.
Loki is curious but not malicious. Cactus is annoyed and a little depressed. She doesn't like change and she doesn't like losing her favorite nap chair to a kitten.
The second Squeakers finished bathing and saw Loki, she growled and hissed again. Both older kitties ran out of the room. Loki hissed back this time. lol
This morning the older kitties are pretty much ignoring the closed door. Squeakers still seems very happy in there. She greeted me with a trill and a biiiig stretch. Rumble purr!
Thinking about it, tomorrow won't work for the spay. Monday. Yeah. I just hope she doesn't go into heat. Dempsey would park himself outside her door for sure. As beautiful as their kittens would be, both gorgeous brown mackeral tabbies with white socks and gloves, we don't want kittens and I'm sure![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gdecamp03 doesn't either.
Hmm? I wonder if we could get him neutered at the same time as her spay? He's probably tame enough now.
