Tests tests tests
Jun. 28th, 2007 09:06 amI missed more than I would like on last night's Windows final. I think I'll still pull off an A... maybe. Oh well, as burned out as I am I'll happily accept a B.
The certificates for MCSE and MCSA my instructor said he'd get for us this quarter are delayed. He dropped the ball and says he'll work on them over summer. Now I have to explain to people that I don't actually have them in my hands yet. He says to have them call him. *sigh* I could have requested those at the same time I set up my CCNA certificate if I'd known. I trusted him. Maybe I can go to my counselor again and explain the situation. He's probably swamped with summer session registration stuff.
Tonight I turn in my final for CCNP2 (Cisco routing class). I've printed all my labs with headings, titles and "Page x of y" on the bottom and put them into a report folder with colored sticky tabs marking the first page of each lab for easy access. I printed a lovely title page so he knows whose labs they are and for which class. There's a disclaimer page behind it saying the labs have been changed to work with available equipment. IP addresses, ports and tunnel types have been changed. The labs with drastic changes or that are incomplete due to a lack of features have a note at the top of the first page stating the problem.
This morning I have a new test added to the week. A headhunter at a prestigious placement firm contacted me yesterday and wants to test my abilities before he tries to place me. In about 30 minutes I'll be downtown dropping quarters into a parking meter, ready to take on whatever they throw at me. I slept well last night for a change. That and the relief of being done with school stuff for the quarter has me feeling less stressed than I have in a long time. I'm still a bit tired, though. Come on coffee, kick it!
Wish me luck!
