Ah, the suburbs. It's warm so we're sleeping with the bedroom window open. Monday mornings if the little yappy dog doesn't get put out at 8:30AM to wake me up, the gardeners with their leaf-blowers do at 9:30. I don't have to be to work until noon. Last night I got caught up in a game and lost total track of time. It was 5AM when I finally got myself to bed. Oh me. I was hoping to sleep until 10:30, but noooo. Oh well, all I have to do after work is shop, fix dinner and verify answers on my Windows mid-term.

Last night, I was celebrating getting an A on my linux admin mid-term and going through my windows server network infrastructure midterm on a first pass. Ahead of the game for once! Whee!

Dreading the job search a bit. The job I hoped for at NASA is a no-go and the more I find out the happier I am that it isn't. The contractor company is a little too volatile for me. I don't want to work for a place that lays off and hires when the wind changes direction. Besides that, they are much smaller than I'd imagined.

I've sent out a couple of resume emails in a networking mode but haven't drummed up the courage for monster.com, dice.com or bayareajobs.com yet. Send me thoughts of courage, OK?

I hate change. I love working for a place with flex time because being on time is difficult for me.

Woke up to a very weird dream. My mom was talking about the morning my dad died. In the dream, he didn't die of Hodgkin's. He died of what we expected him to die from, a heart attack. Mom was saying she woke him up to tell him she wanted a divorce. He was clutching his chest and grunting out the words, "Wait until summer" knowing he wasn't going to make it to summer. That's when the leaf-blowers started and woke me up. It wasn't an upsetting dream. We have all accepted that Dad is gone. It was more of a reminiscing dream.
