Today's agenda

Prepare for 3PM audition! I got an email last week from VoiceTrax saying an audiobook company was seeking actors to record audiobooks. It will pay $200 for every finished hour of audio. That's decent pay. She asked that people email her their demos or websites. I sent her my productionbank.net site. She responded with an invitation to audition in person and when I confirmed the appointment she sent me about 10 excerpts from various books. I focused on Java until today, so though I made sure I could print the scripts and quickly read through them, I haven't read them aloud yet. I need to make sure I've found and solved any word traps and that I have the feel for each one with notes about things to perform them to the best of my ability. Since the audition is at her apartment in San Francisco, I also need to make sure I have easy driving directions to find the place and leave early enough to be lost for at least 30 minutes and still arrive on time. I know me and San Francisco! Getting lost is part of the experience there.

Then I need to pick up Turbo Tax for us and toothpaste for Eric.

Next, continue work on Lab 7 for Advanced Java. Mr. Singh and I discussed the possibility that I not finish lab 7 if I passed the final with a high enough score. He said the lab wouldn't make that big of a difference in my grade unless I failed the final, then it would mean the difference between passing and failing the course. We originally left it that I'd only finish lab 7 if I failed the final. Since I don't think I failed, it was looking like I wouldn't need to finish the lab. I woke up this morning wanting to get every point possible for the best grade possible. That's why I'm awake even though I didn't get to sleep until about 4AM this morning. I emailed him saying that I want the incomplete after all because I want the best grade I can get.

Ugh. Getting sleepy. Must go back to bed for an hour or so.
