Possible job working with kids
Aug. 16th, 2004 11:18 amWow! I'm getting excited! My sister told me about some very low paid jobs open at her school and since I'm currently making $0.00 it sounded good to me! I checked out their website for job openings and there are much better paying jobs that I qualify for! I just have to take the test for instructional aides, get copies of all my diplomas, certificates and college transcripts and I'll be employable by the school districts!
The "No Child Left Behind" program has opened up a myriad of jobs for people with two-year degrees like me! I checked out the school district I attended because I live in it after getting things set up with my sister's school district. They have substitutes needed for special ed and current openings for Preschool! I've got a ECE certificate from my first non-drama job attempt.
I taught pre-school for four months until they let me go because I was sick too much. The idiots had wool carpets with horsehair padding everywhere and I was forced to vacuum it daily. I'm extremely allergic to wool and vacuuming triggers my asthma without the addition of wool. I had bronchitis the entire time I worked there. It only paid minimum wage anyway and I couldn't live on that.
The school district will pay more than that! Yay!
Off I go to collect my transcripts and other stuff! Oh yeah, and a TB test. Cool!
