I just got this email and copied it here EXACTLY as it appears. There was no intro and no signature. I might add that it came with a return receipt requested to let her know when I opened it. I'm just grumpy enough that I clicked "NO" so it didn't let her know. BWAHAAHAHA!

Subject: Relase 9 Modifications

Per our discussion, I have not received the programming quote for our customs programming. I need to have a list of proposed customs (register receipt) invoice printing, other customs by Rob. We also need a sample of receipts without custom to review.

I have not received EDI status with release 9. Will this function be operational.

We would like to upgrade in September. Please expedite

I'd have to say my most annoying customer is this one. She calls on a daily basis because they hire idiots and she'd rather have me get on their system to fix data rather than retrain their people to use programs properly. To be brutally honest, I'm not sure she could train them to use the programs properly. She can't remember how to fix the common screw-ups from one week to the next. When she calls me, 75% of the time she doesn't remember my name, then when I do pick up I get silence for the first 20 seconds. I have to say her name a few times to get her attention. We keep idiot-proofing our software as they find new ways to screw up, but there seems to be a very creative group of people on their staff. Our new release is in the final mop-up stage and they're at the top of the list to receive it.

We've discussed the items mentioned already. She knows Rob is on vacation until next week. I already told her the EDI added to a third party software package will not be supported unless the customers fund us to make the modifications.

I did forget to send her the standard receipts but she forgot to tell me which printers she needs them from. You know what their big modification is? Changing the word "register" to "lane."

What really irks me about her email is that when we're on the phone we're friendly to the point that she asks about my pets and I ask about hers.

Arnold Schwartzenegger is running for governor of California in the recall election.

He is an intelligent guy and he does care about kids, but I'm cringing here because I know what we're headed into.

The Terminator Runs For Governor

and all the jokes that go with that and how crazy we Californians are. *sigh*

I'm still going to vote against the recall and I'm still going to vote for the Green party candidate as a replacement in case the recall is successful. I don't want either major party in office if this thing goes through.

Of course, I do get to giggle at Willie Brown, the mayor of San Francisco when he says "Ernie Schwartzenagle."
