I wanted to take my dad some flowers on Memorial day because he's a veteran of the Korean war. The more I thought about doing it, the more I slept. Luckily for me, my hubby reacts to things like this the same way. When depressed, we sleep.

One of the reunion committee members is preparing some sort of surprise for the rest of us. She asked for our favorite elementary school picture. Luckily I still have the family photo album at my house. I'm trying to scan in all the pictures I want in my own archive before I let my sister have it for her use. Then it will go back to Mom. There were three school photos in there of me. Kindergarten, first and third grades, and they all had problems. Kindergarten had an odd texture to it that caused rows of bumps to scan. First and third grade photos were damaged. I fixed them as best I could and submitted Kindergarten and first grade to her. Third grade was too damaged and besides, I can tell I had a fake smile. By third grade, I was miserable for various reasons.

I did get my Sims programs installed on Eric's old laptop. While we watched our usual shows on TV, I built our house and my friend Karen's house. I don't like the available choices for us. They don't have fat bodies in the defaults. They only have one full bearded guy with hair, and he's blond. I need either brown or grey hair for Eric. The black cat they had was really dark gray. There are no manx cats. I spent last night searching for fat bodies and our cats online. The tool I could use to make us is on a website that was down or gone.

I did get the remail of the family newsletters ready to go and at lunch I'll zip to the post office to buy another roll of stamps to mail them.

The reunion committee has been cutting the labels from the returned mail and sending them to me for address list updates. I got all of those updated. Didn't get the returns to the guy researching addresses yet, but I'll do that maybe late tonight.

Today is my older nephew Mike's birthday! He's 24!!!!! How can that be? We're having Indian food for dinner with him. Yum! I guess I can tell he's a grownup. For his birthday, he wants money to pay his bills. LOL

try going here

I'll have to get them linked another way. My first grade picture was the one on the original post. This one is my kindergarten one!

I can't access the website - big bro is watching, here at work.
I see two pictures, one for your journal and one on a prior comment - one sepia toned one and another in black and white with very short hair. Which grades are these?

Short hair is kindergarten. I'd given myself a haircut in late summer, much to my mother's dismay! My favorite one is from first grade where I looked calm and sweet. That's how I felt on the inside. Unfortunately, that didn't match my outsides!
