Ramping down

The mass mailing went out yesterday morning so those of you who live in the state will get yours today. Those in nearby states will get them tomorrow. Those in far away states and other countries will get them after Christmas.
The US ones had the postage printed on the envelopes by Stamps.com. International needs stamps, so I placed the four international cards at the front of my box of 120+ cards hitting the mail. In my haste to get them all into the slots and because I was being distracted by people around me, I accidently stuck them through the slot without realizing it. A soon as the box was empty my mind went to "buy stamps for international.." Oh crap. Luckily there was a very helpful employee advising people on self-help mailing to help shorten the line. He let me dig through the bin to find those envelopes and then gave me advice on the best way to get postage on all of them. Since they didn't have exact postage for mail to Canada and they did have packs of five stamps for international (not Canada), I opted not to buy the multiple denominations of stamps for exact postage and put an 80 cent stamp on all four.
Last night I really should have been wrapping gifts and packing boxes to send, but I was too exhausted. Scampi was glad because she's been short of lap time the last few days.
I still have to come up with one more thing for my nephew Mike. I think we've got everyone else covered...I think. Off to work!
