My fondest memories of books from my childhood were:
At Gramma's house:
"Toodle and Noodle Flat Tail, The Jolly Beaver Boys" by Howard R. Garis.
Thanks to ebay, I now own the entire animal bedtime story series and they're all wonderful! You can download most of them online from Project Gutenberg as they fall out of copyright. Four more years and they're all available.
From the library:
Dr. Doolittle series
Little House series
From the bookshelves at home:
Toby Tyler
The Little Lame Prince
The Five Little Peppers
Mrs. Wiggins of the Cabbage Patch
oops! Gotta quit thinking and get to work!
Oh! I almost forgot! The headache I had for over a week was fixed yesterday. My chiropractor is an intern at the chiropractic college. Her attending came in and unjammed my atlas. AHHHHHH!
