Crazy Loki!

Our tradition in the morning is that I sing "Oh Chloe" to her as I feed her (to the tune of "Oh Donna") then Loki comes for snuggles.  I sit on an upended cinderblock to snuggle him.  This morning he wouldn't get in a good position for me to pick up so I patted my lap and he hopped up instead.  He put his front paws over my shoulder for the first time in ages.  Usually he wants me to hold him like a baby and rub his head.  He kept lunging upward until I understood and bent forward so he could climb on my back.  On the way there he grabbed a mouthful of my hair at the back of my neck and pulled playfully.  He's never done that before!  I had a cat once who liked to wrestle with my head like that.  I loved it!

Loki settled on my back smacking my head with his tail.  I reached back with my hands to pet him and he wrestled with me, chomping my fingers and grabbing my hands, yipping at me.  He moved around after a few minutes to massage one of my shoulders with his front paws then turned back around to massage my lower back.  Then he relaxed, ready to hang out on my back for a while.

If I didn't need to get to my breakfast and if the cinderblock weren't so uncomfortable it might have been fun to relax with him on my back but the cinderblock was digging into my thighs and I had to convince him to get down.  He followed me into the kitchen and ate a plate full of food, then started Yowing for more love.  I was trying to get my breakfast together so while each part was in the microwave, I gave him love.  I gave him catnip.  He had three sprigs and wanted more but I cut him off. 

He gave me kitty kisses.  Aww!

Then he wrestled with me some more, getting a little too rough with his back claws.  The catnip had him a bit out of control.  When Cactus came in, he turned his attention to her.

I sure love having our sweet boy around so much!  We were pretty much a hotel for him before.

Oh and the poster I made for the little girl next door came.  It turned out quite well!
