I couldn't go to sleep for the longest time. When I did, Eric's snoring woke me up. I woke him up once to tell him his mask wasn't on right. He fixed it and fell back asleep. The mask immediately shifted back to leaking air and his snoring started again.

I wondered why I couldn't sleep. Was it a premonition or mind-racing because I was awake in the wee hours? I hate premonitions. I never know who. I just know something really bad is going to happen. I started mind-racing on that, half convincing myself Eric was going to have a heart attack or stroke because his CPAP mask hasn't been fitting for quite some time. Then I realized it was my knee keeping me awake.

My old ski injury has been hurting more lately. In the days before MRI, the doctor said I had a slight tear in the meniscus of my right knee. A few months ago I knelt on the couch and twisted and it hurt like the dickens. It's been hurting ever since. For some reason, it was really sore last night and was keeping me awake. It was 3AM when I finally figured that out and took some Aleve. My right foot has been cramping since Thursday. Maybe the knee is degenerating like so much of the rest of me and needs attention. Darn. My old tree climbing injury elbow is also hurting a lot. Maybe it's the weather. Yeah, I'll wait a bit longer. My doctor said to wait on the knee as long as I could because the surgery to fix small tears wasn't quite there yet. So I'm waiting. If it keeps hurting like this, I won't wait much longer. If it isn't the weather, I'll know in a few days and make an appointment.

I asked Eric what time of the day he wants his doctor's appointment when he got up. He hasn't specified. He doesn't think he needs to go. His shoulder isn't hurting at present. I gave him my list of reasons. He'll think about it and let me know tonight, probably.
