I spent my entire lunch hour on Monday, driving to the cable company "store" and waiting in line to exchange our little cable box for a giant old VCR shaped thing. It works, mostly. We're still missing a syllable here and there and it smears into pixels in places every few minutes. One in a while the whole screen freezes, goes black and comes back.

What was interesting is that it was doing the partial pixelation and syllable loss even without the box in place. Doesn't that say it's coming from the cable company? The whole screen freezing is definitely from the cable box.

Guess it's time to get a Netgear wireless router. newegg.com here I come!
There was a wimpy row of white roses next to a little fence along the side of our property when we bought it. How bland and boring it was! I love vibrant colors. There was plenty of room between them, or so I thought, so we filled in the gaps on anniversaries with colorful roses. I bought Mr. Lincoln for Eric. He bought Peace for me. Each of the first years we were here we bought two more roses. The last was a pink rose paid for by my MIL. Being unable to care for them, our roses have grown into a wall. Luckily, our neighbors love it as much as we do.

You can see the hacked dead hibiscus next to the garage and a play thing of our neighbor child in the back.
