Dempsey sillikins
Jan. 28th, 2007 12:54 pmLast night Dempsey strolled in when I was halfway through my dinner. He's been popping in once in the evening then disappearing for the rest of the night for the last couple of days. Must be one of his other house's turn to be his resting spot for the night or maybe we'd better get him neutered very soon. *ahem*
I put my dinner down to give him a snuggle. I sat cross-legged on the floor of the kitchen. He still won't climb into my lap on his own but he stood right in front of me so I could drag him onto it. He started rolling sideways on my lap the wrong way for settling in. He's still not sure how to position himself for comfort. He ended up sliding head first down my ankle and partly onto the floor. He didn't really want to leave those massaging hands so he pushed himself back up so his rump was against my chest and flopped back down so his face was pressed between my foot and knee. He was kneading my leg. Purrrum Purrum
After he was relaxed again, I gently lifted his shoulders and head on top of my knee and supported his upper body with my hand and arm. Usually when I try to lift any part of him, he tenses up. He didn't. Awww. Such a sweet boy. I massaged his approved areas (head, back and sides) for a long time and was starting to wonder how long he was going to stay when he decided he wanted to eat. Sweet darling boy!
