Withdrawal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new hard drive for my laptop began the cloning process about 7PM tonight. It said it would take 12 hours. I've set aside 3.3GB to be my paging drive so I won't fragment my C drive so quickly. That will have to be formatted and set up when the clone of C: finishes tomorrow morning... or afternoon. You see, it said 12 hours for the first two hours. Then it said 11 hours for the next three. Now it's down to 9 hours. I hope it finishes before the afternoon because I've got online homework to do.

Before I started that, I installed the replacement keyboard so I now have M and comma/< keys again! No more poking my finger into the hole to type those! YAY! I know J will be glad. He was griping about my laptop while he was trying to post during his visit Friday evening.

My desktop computer is ok but the setup is wrong for me ergonomically. The garage sale office chair I got years ago isn't set up right for me and it's so old that any adjustments are frozen. The graphics suck. I can't play puzzle pirates here, either. *SIGH* Withdrawal!!!!!!!!!!!!! aAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Cactus is trying to block my view. She won't snuggle and chirps at me when I touch her because Dempsey is playing in the hall and she dislikes him. His playing intrigues her and then she gets grumpy because she doesn't WANT to be intrigued by him. He found a nice pile of old clothes in the garage to sleep on. He's very happy here. Cactus us a grumpus puss. lol

Our PC's in the living room are on the only outlet near our recliners which happens to be controlled by a switch. We stopped turning the switch off when he got a non-laptop for the living room months ago. So last night when we closed down the front of the house, where my laptop was doing the clone thing that would last all night, what did he do? He flipped that switch without thinking.

When he got up and tried to start his computer this morning, he realized what he'd done and came very sheepishly to me saying I was going to be really angry with him. I was upset but not angry. Heck, humans make mistakes and he was so very sorry already there was no point to be made with an angry outburst. I sighed and went out there to start the process over. 12 hours, it says.

ARGHHHH! All my notes are on that laptop. All my schoolwork and assessments and such. If it weren't down to 3% free, I'd be tempted to do this another time because I've got to get some homework done!! But I can't defrag it and it's starting to have problems from no disk space. This has to happen now.

Maybe I should insist he take me to see Borat as penance.
