trying to wake up
Nov. 3rd, 2005 10:04 amOverslept, waiting for caffiene and adderall to kick in...
Woke up to an odd dream. I was living in my Uncle Bud's house with a few cousins and one cousin's daughter. In the dream my gramma had lived with Uncle Bud until she died, which isn't what happened. She moved out when he got married when I was 13. But in the dream, my cousin's daughter Julie had purchased a pot of daffodils even though there was a whole garden bed full of them in the back yard that gramma had planted. Her mom was upset with her for wasting money. Julie put them on the front porch and it looked pretty. Then I looked up to see my car disappearing down the street. I asked Julie what was going on with my car and she said it had been in her way and her cousin from the other side of the family was moving it. I knew I had to leave for work soon, and she said not to worry. It would be right back. Then she and everyone else left. Time to leave for work came and my car was nowhere in sight. I called her on her cell phone and told her she'd better get her cousin back with my car right away. Suddenly I knew he was 19 and a little reckless, heading over a dangerous highway to the beach. I told her if my car wasn't back within 30 minutes that I was going to call the police and report it stolen. She sounded frantic and I hung up. I was about to call work to tell them I wouldn't be in that day (because I knew that kid was going to wreck my car) when I woke up.
Ugh. it's hard to wake up when I'm cold. I just want to sleep...
Lab last night went much better than the previous attempt. I got there and hardly anyone was there! I immediately snagged routers I KNOW work. I discussed the problem router with the other lab instructor and he worked with it to figure out where I'd gone wrong with it. Now I know the newer routers have to have the cable attached to them before they'll accept any commands about being the controlling router. The cable tells them it's ok. *sigh* He wouldn't respond to my confusion about how it was marked. There were a couple snags to the final lab in the chapter 7 series but he helped me get past them. One of them was my lack of patience. I told him "I want patience and I want it now!" LOL
Tonight I go back to attack lab 10. We're jumping all over the place with chapters/modules. It bugs me, but oh well! Gotta go with the flow.
shower. work. lab. Later!
