Our 13th anniversary was on Monday. We took this week off from work with plans to take day trips. I spent the weekend and a lot of time this week cleaning up scanned photos from our wedding while watching the news channels on TV. We find it ironic that Katrina hit on our 13th wedding anniversary.
Aside from showing Eric through the wind tunnel at NASA/Ames and going to the Rosicrucian Museum (Egyptian), we've mostly been staring at the news channels, praying for miracles. With the fuel crisis they're talking about, we decided our planned trip to Carmel to drive the 17 Mile Drive was frivolous and wasteful. It takes us a couple of hours to get there. We'll satisfy my need for ocean by driving to the beach which is only 45 minutes away. Maybe we can visit the museum there that has the blue whale skeleton out front.
I just found out my cousin's daughter and her family are safe in Houston but they don't know if they have anything left in Sidell, LA.
I've been praying that all of you are safe and that your families and friends are safe.
