In the morning I had an appointment at the DMV to renew my driver's license. Because I'm such a stellar driver - ok, no tickets or accidents anyway - I've been able to renew by mail for the last two or three times. That means the picture on my license is from the year after we got married nearly 13 years ago. HA! I was much thinner then. The weight on my license is waaaay too small a number. So I'll have a new one with my current face and weight.

I had finished all but one of the online modules the night before so when I got home I finished that last one. I retook one of the module assessments with a lower score to raise it up and did. Then I looked at printing my flash cards.

Holy crap. There were 536 to print, cut and learn in about 90 minutes. ACK! I printed out selected groups I thought had the most chance of being on the test and that cut it to about half. Even so, there just wasn't time. I memorized the few that I'd missed on the assessments and let it go.

The test was in a room with rows of PCs. It was an online test with no notes allowed. There was a professor's voice coming through the ventilation system. He was lecturing during finals!?! WTF? Our instructor had to leave town so another professor was proctoring our exam. I asked him if there was any way he could get the guy to be quiet. There was a lot of math involved with this test and I need quiet to compute. We had to convert decimal numbers to binary to figure things out. He said he'd look into it and a few minutes later, the voice got LOUDER. GRRRR I wanted to stalk out of there and hunt him down myself.

I ended up plugging my ears whenever I had to really think. Even with the distraction I managed an 87.1% on the test. That's a respectable grade and about the average of what I've been getting on the module assessments when I have access to my notes. Ah, for the days of 97 percents... Oh well. My brain is full. That's my excuse.

Last night I was snuggling my Braticus and got a good look at his balding back for the first time in a very long time. It has bands of broken out skin across it! I have to find a vet for him, poor thing! I knew he was balding, but he's at least 2 years old and considered elderly. Rats only live 2 to 5 years. When I asked if balding was normal in [livejournal.com profile] ratties nobody answered. Guess a vet will have to tell me.

Oh well, off to Voicetrax. They need me to work today.
