A rottweiler attacked my sister's cat!

I just got off the phone with her. A neighbor's rottweiler got out last week and went into my sister's back yard to attack poor Scooter! Luckily my nephew Mike was home and heard her screaming. The dog had her by the neck and was shaking her as she tried to climb the fence. Mike had to beat the dog with a stick to get him to drop her and for a minute the dog considered attacking Mike. Mike threw bricks toward the dog to convince it to leave. He missed the dog on purpose but the dog didn't know that. Then the stupid thing ran home and Mike closed their gate.

Scooter's thick manx fur saved her from lacerations, but her front paw is broken.
Apparently my BIL misunderstood about the specialist consult that was supposed to happen. He thought the vet was going to do it when they were supposed to call themselves. Poor thing is home with a broken leg and no pain pills! I told her to check with the specialists to see of they're open today. If not, I'm heading over with pain pills Lee-Roy didn't need last Fall.
