Silly quiz and an update.

Well, I'm almost finished with Lab 6. I've hit a wall and am waiting for help from java_dev before I can finish it. Since my head is aching, I'm taking a little break before starting the design of the final lab. I hope I don't jinx it by saying I might actually finish on time!

If you take java or use java, I highly recommend java_dev. They've been so generous with their advice. I'm planning to stick around there and help those I can.

On the tech support front, Eric spent most of the day on the phone with his sister again. This time they were able to clear the hard disk (goodbye nasty viruses and worms) and mostly install Win XP 2nd edition. Unfortunately, they hit a hardware insufficiency part way through that Microsoft has to know about. Eric found references to the error message several places online. Grrr. It peeves me too that her mother-in-law is getting angry that this is taking so long. This is the PC that Eric's mom had. Dad M. didn't want a computer and we all voted that Sis should get it because her computer is kind of old. She decided to give it to her MIL for reasons we don't know.

I can't believe the nerve of this woman getting angry because a free PC is taking a while to be ready for her.. especially after Sis has been going through hell trying to clean it up and get it going. If we had known Sis wasn't going to keep it, we probably wouldn't have voted to give it to her in the first place. Grrrr.

Oh well. I need to go grab some dinner and hit java again.
