Zoropsis spinimana is what I've got in a jar.

I finally found the right person to ask online. The Academy of Sciences in San Francisco has experts and I happened across the head of the department's webpage in my search. He responded very quickly that what we've got here is an invasive species from the Mediterranean. An egg sac or stowaway spiders came with someone's luggage to my area some time ago. Now I'm searching for information about the species. Mostly what I find are genus trees. Not a lot of help in regard to the spider's behavior and needs. I guess we'll keep him as a pet since he really doesn't belong here.
