2004 in review
Dec. 31st, 2004 03:55 pmGood things
I qualified for unemployment
Got some contract programming work
Recorded a voice for an animation short
Recorded several characters in audio books
Recorded several character voices for a kiosk at Musee Mechanique
Designed a CD cover for a friend's voice-over demo and got paid for it
Performed in a radio drama in front of an audience
Got temp work in a school district
Managed to pass Java
Had a mostly great vacation with Jonathan and Brandon
Got off meds that were messing up my logical thought processes
The holidays were a little easier to get through this year without Daddy
Got two auditions with a major cartoon casting director and started a good relationship with her.
Lee-Roy the cat isn't likely to die of cancer soon.
People liked my calendars and creations for them.
I lost 20 pounds.
Bad things
Mother-in-law died
STILL haven't been able to clean my house
Couldn't find a programming job
Had a horrible time trying to pass Intro to Java
Didn't find an agent to represent me for voice-over
Fought depression all year
Bush won the election (four more years of trying to survive a bad economy)
Lee-Roy the cat had to have major surgery and we thought for a while we were going to lose him.
I'm deeper in debt than ever before.
A lawyer's kid managed to get me banned from working in the school district.
Well, looks like the good outweighs the bad!
