Saturday morning I did what I promised my shrink I'd do. When I woke up at about 7AM I took my meds and went back to sleep. I woke up about 10:30 because Eric was talking to Miss Cactus. We got up, ate leftover Thai food and I started organizing my three weeks worth of unread newspapers, and started in on the section that has Dear Abby and the comics. After reading one weeks worth, I went back to bed. I slept until about 4PM. As I got up Eric went down for his Saturday nap. I read another week's worth of Dear Abby/comics sections until I came to the one missing newspaper from my collection. It's somewhere, I just don't know where. I'm just OCD enough that I feel compelled to read them exactly in order so I don't miss anything. If I don't find it tonight I'll make myself skip it.

Eric got up about 8PM and we made sandwiches for dinner then watched a sci-fi movie, South Park, Mad and the remainder of SNL. He went to bed. I watched another movie first then went to bed at about 3:30AM. So much for keeping my hours straight!

We woke up together at 10ish and went out for our traditional Sunday breakfast of all-in-one bagels from House of Bagels washed down with lychee bubble tea from the coffee place next door. Since it was heating up to a very hot day, we stopped at 7-11 and got slurpees. He's an addict. I'm becoming one. The cola dispenser was working for once, so he got two. I started to get a Sobe Energy slurpee and noticed it was a weird tan color! I asked Raj, the owner of the store what was going on with it because it was light green the last time. He explained that it was changing from Sobe to Grape so it was a special two-in-one flavor! Yum! It was good.

We watched some dumb sci-fi movies while we ate. Miss Scamperdoo (see icon) spent most of the time I wasn't eating in my lap or being held like a baby in my arms. She was a total snuggle baby this weekend. Talk about hot! Wearing a long furry chest warmer in 100 degree heat is quite toasty but she was so sweet and kept her paw on my cheek so carefully not scratching me that I couldn't put her down until she wanted down, could I? No, I couldn't. Baby wants snuggles, baby gets snuggles especially when she caresses my face with those soft little paw pads. I've got to get Eric to take our picture. She's so precious!

Eric went back to sleep after breakfast. I watched Goonies for the first time. Great movie!

Then I turned the TV off and went into the computer room to spend time with Ratty Watty and to re-upload half of the 60 pictures from my high school reunion that had become corrupt for no known reason. Earthlink tech support told me to upload and relink them to fix them. They had no explanation for why they went bad in the first place. That took me over 5 hours with linking and testing. Grrrr! I'd already done all that work before!

I'd been working on it for about half an hour when Eric woke up and decided to download some music from a subscription service he belongs to. After burning a couple of CDs he wandered off to play them in the living room leaving his jet powered system on. I swear that computer is the loudest PC I've ever heard! It's huge. With two computers and two monitors running it got really hot in that little room. By the time I was starting to worry about it being too hot for Ratty Watty, it was late enough that outside was the same temperature as inside so I opened up the house. I asked Eric if he was done with his computer (it had been unattended for three hours by now). He answered, "Huh? Oh yeah. I guess so." I asked it I could turn it off to stop it from heating up the room anymore. He said I could so I did.

I finished uploading and relinking everything and published the pages to the web. Then I sent out email to the committee members and to a friend who had not been able to see all the photos due to slow dialup service combined with an old system that had very little memory. I asked them all to please check the website out and let me know how it worked for them.

I'd noticed the damaged pictures when I was building the single photo views. Since I don't know how to shuffle through a list using a single webpage, I created one page for each photo with forward and backward links and the ability to jump to any even ten picture on the 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th photo pages. The first photo page has a table listing all of the photos by number. It was a challenge but it was working properly last night.

Today we have record-breaking hot temperatures. I'm sweating in my office and it's cool compared to outside. I don't like hot. Both the fish and the ratty will get ice tonight.

*drinks more water* Gotta stay hydrated!
