I'm thankful for the family I'll be with tomorrow. I'm thankful that despite the craziness and drunkenness that haunted us for my entire childhood that everyone was always on best behavior on holidays so I don't have any baggage from that.

I'm thankful that my hubby, parents, sister & brother-in-law, their two college aged sons, my aunt and uncle and their two sons and the fiance of one of them will be there plus my mother's friend and possibly another aunt will be joining us if her emphysema isn't too bad tomorrow.

I'm thankful for my grumpy, turkey-hating sister who is cooking a turkey this year instead of insisting on honey-baked ham. I love turkey. Ham is... okaaay.

I'm very thankful the alcoholics of the family are all sober today, including me.

I'm thankful for my sister having it at her house. YAY!

I'm thankful we aren't in Kansas at a funeral this week.

I'm thankful for how we pulled together as a people on Sept 11th and in the aftermath.

I'm thankful I have a job, a car, a warm place to live, enough food to eat and clothes to wear.

I'm thankful for my warm furry kitties.

I'm thankful the big spider wasn't aggressive though I still wonder where it went.

Last but not least, I'm incredibly thankful I've got YOU
