Frustrations
I still don't know how cousin Paul is doing. I called Brandon figuring he'd know and managed to catch him at home between classes today. He said he doesn't know because Dayna won't return his phone calls. He has an essay due tomorrow and was cleaning the dried apple juice out of his keyboard when I called. Brandon said he has to leave for his wrestling class very soon so he didn't have time to call the hospital. So I tried.
Paul is in ICU but the switchboard wouldn't transfer me to his nursing station because I'm not immediate family. Another patient's family member answered the phone in the ICU waiting room. She checked both waiting rooms and none of Paul's family was there.
Next I called cousin Al, Paul's dad. (Al is my mom's first cousin). Al isn't home. Hopefully he'll get my message soon and call me. I also let him know that Brandon can't get Dayna to give him the news so he doesn't know either.
This has let me know that Paul survived the surgery. That's positive!
