Lee-Roy wasn't in the mood for pictures.

Lee-Roy greets us whenever we come home. He hops up on the car to collect all the loving he can get from us. I tried to take his picture up there, but he wasn't in the mood. It was funny!

*edited because the pictures were too dark. Black cats at dusk don't show much detail. They're lighter now*

Picture 1 - Between the push of the button and the click of the shutter, he managed to get his head completely out of the picture.
The white stripe around his hips is scar tissue from a kitten incident with a curtain cord when nobody was home. The brownish stripe shows where the fur hasn't quite grown back in from his surgery last November.

Picture 2 - He was threatening to get down if I didn't stop taking pictures and PET HIM!

Picture 3 - Finally got his face but he wasn't going to look happy about it.

Oh! What a regal cat! He looks huge! Do you still have the little white kitten that you and ERic found hiking? That story was actually what made me 'friend' you. Such a poinent story and I could SO relate to it.

He is huge! He's around 16 pounds. The rescue kitty is Scamperdoo and she's on my lap as I type this.

hehe! No, I have actually noticed (between my mom's cats and my friend, Valerie's (misskittylovesme) that my cats are very SMALL. I don't understand this. I feed the hell out of them and give them treats. Maybe its because we smoke....(guilt trip).

We don't smoke. I wonder? My mom's cats are small. She stopped smoking after the one who came as a kitten was grown.

Hmmm. The kittens were born her (in the computer/work room) and we stayed with them 24/7 b/c we were so amazed and overjoyed by them but we SMOKE like chimneys. I wonder if this is why they are small. Damn smoke. I know this is why I cannot breathe.

Some cat breeds are just small, though. Maybe those particular breeds were/are common in your area and those breeds have formed the ancestry of the domestics cats there today.

Lee-Roy is gorgeous, is he totally black? He reminds me of my sister's cat, who was the son of my favourite cat DJ.

My mom has two small cats. They come in all sizes here. My smallest cat was 6 lbs at her heaviest. Lee-Roy is half siamese. I think he gets his size from that.

Yes, he's all black except for his scars! We were surprised his surgery didn't produce a white stripe, but it didn't.

Random, but I love this icon, and I just realized you're exactly 8 days older than me!
