Eric took this week off because yesterday was his birthday and he has been so very stressed lately. His hot hot project finished last week so he decided to take one week of this 3 month's worth of vacation that has built up over the years.
I wanted to give him something other than the e-card I sent him. I'm out of money, and I hate to buy him gifts with his money. Greeting cards are horribly expensive! I picked out one for his birthday and one for valentines. When I got in line to pay I looked at the prices. $4 for the simple one, $6 for the one with a red heart doily glued onto it. I immediately put them back.
on the way home from school I stopped off at Baskin-Robbins and got him a small ice cream cake. He loved it! So did I. His official birthday cake was German chocolate and I took it to the restaurant on Saturday. I hate German chocolate. It's that processed cocoanut I hate. It's like eating string or something and it doesn't taste good to me.
This morning when I woke up, he was gone. The girls asked me for food. That's when I realized something was up. He left without feeding them. Hmmm... was he buying me roses? A few minutes later I got my answer. A dozen beautiful red roses, a mocha AND our favorite all-in-one bagels with garlic and herb cream cheese!

I feel so loved right now. :)
