I love clouds. They're never the same twice. Last week there was a flock of tiny fluffy clouds that were dissolving in wispy threads, They looked like a school of jellyfish. Tonight we have tropical moisture coming in.
The hills across the valley looked flat, like a painting in pale orange and purple through the haze. A row of fluffy clouds lay heavily in the sky above them, squished into a dense defined layer of salmon and fushia. Higher yet were layers of bent and broken cloud streaks in pale pink with blue-gray masks. Above the valley, untouched by sunset colors was a glistening gossamer formation that took up half the sky. Shades of pale blue with hints of lavender accented the pure white strands of glowing cloud. It was as if an artist had taken an enormous brush and made a couple of smooth strokes in a V shape to make an angel's wings. You could see the marks of each bristle in the brush, kind of like a thin layer of cotton candy.
Oh, how I wish I'd had a camera with me! Oh, how I wish a camera could capture such beauty.
